The Midland Commerce Title Agency of Akron, Ohio faced a serious dilemma, the massive amount of records they were accumulating were beginning to consume their office. The documents, which consist of work folders, title searches, mortgages and escrow references are an instrumental tool for the land title business. The folders must be easily accessible, but with the rising costs of office space, keeping them close at hand was becoming increasingly difficult.

AA Scan helped them find a resolution to the problem, by scanning or imaging all of their records to build a database that can be shared across their network. Now Midland's staff can search the database to find the appropriate folder by using the legal description, date of the last transaction or simply by the address.

Once the project was implemented into a "Electronic Document Management System (E.D.M.S.) the information could no longer be incorrectly filed, misplaced or lost. This also allowed the Midland group to share the data between all of their locations.
