AKRON FOUNDRY PROTECTS ASSETS

The Akron Foundry Company realized that the drawings kept in their shop are very valuable. "Just think, what would happen if an accident occurred in that area, and all of the drawings are destroyed, we would have a serious problem! We needed to find an inexpensive solution, that would be compatible to most CAD software for future use." said Bob Sik, Vice President of the company.

Bob called on AA Scan to see if we had a solution. "At first, I couldn't understand why a company would have their drawings scanned, and not implement a CAD system, or at least a Viewing and Printing software" said Keith C. Snyder Vice President, Director of Sales & Marketing at AA Scan, Inc. Duane E. Snyder, President of AA Scan said, "Once Bob explained that he didn't want to get into CAD just yet, and wanted to protect his engineering data, it all made sense."

After that, it all came into place, AA Scan employees went to Akron Foundry, picked up approximately 3,000 drawings, scanned them and returned them in less than 2 weeks. Now all of Bob's drawings are on a CD-ROM, which can be used by most computers.
