Document Scanning
We have always been in the
manual drawing to digital business, but now something new is happening at
AA Scan. We can now help you manage your documents, as well as your
drawings.
Indexing the data so that it
can be easily found is an extremely important step in this process. Some of
the "fields" of data that are currently being used are policy
numbers, account numbers, invoice numbers, purchase order numbers,
engineering change request numbers, job or customer numbers, employee
names, etc. This will save your hundreds of hours per month in finding data
alone.
Other benefits to document
imaging are the large amount of recovered floor space, the ability to share
your documents across your network, or the internet as well as off site
backup. See what we have done
for others.
If a legal archive of the
document is required, we can produce a microfilm copy of the originals, then scan the film into a digital format. Computer
Output Microfilm is also available after we scan the original documents.
This means that the original documents themselves can be destroyed at your
request.
The final step is to create 2
sets of the data on CD-ROM, and now you are done! You have implemented a
document retrieval system that will save you time, money, and floor space.
(FYI, this may save you money on your insurance premiums!!)
